How we rank — and how we earn
Comparison sites are only useful if you know how they order things. This page lists the exact parameters we use, in order of importance, and how the site makes money.
How shops are ordered on a shoe page
- Delivered total price, cheapest first. Item price plus shipping — estimated for your selected ship-to country, or the shop's flat delivery fee when no country is set. This is the only ordering factor.
- Out-of-stock offers are hidden.
- If you set a street size, we additionally flag which shops appear to stock your estimated size — the flag never changes the order.
How shoes are ordered on listing pages
- "Most compared" / default: by how many shops currently stock the shoe (more shops first), then by discount depth.
- "Price drops": by discount versus the shop's own recommended retail price (RRP), deepest first.
- Price sorts: by the cheapest in-stock price.
- The shoe finder orders nothing by money at all — it plots every matching shoe by aggressiveness and volume.
What commissions do — and don't do
We earn an affiliate commission when you buy after clicking through to a shop. Commission rates never influence ranking. A shop that pays us more does not appear higher; a shop that pays us nothing is ordered by the same price rule as every other. There are no paid placements, no sponsored results, and no advertising slots on Skyhooked.
What we cover — and what we don't
- We compare the retailers we have data partnerships with — not every shop on the internet. A shoe may exist cheaper in a shop we don't yet cover.
- Prices come from the retailers' own product feeds and refresh when shops publish new data. Every price shows the date we last saw it ("as of…"), and we flag prices that look stale.
- The final price at checkout is set by the shop — always confirm price, shipping and stock there before buying.
